Innovation Insights Series #5 with Dr. Annika Hauptvogel (Head of Technology & Innovation Management @Siemens)
On June 26th, Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt and the Chair of Industrial Management had the pleasure of once again welcoming Dr. Annika Hauptvogel, Head of Technology & Innovation Management at Siemens.
Addressing students from the courses “Innovation” and “Technology and Innovation Management”, Dr. Hauptvogel delivered an insightful lecture on how Siemens manages to transform inventions (from technology) into successful business innovations. She started with an engaging overview of the transformative power of technology foresight at Siemens and briefly introduced how Siemens combines the real and the digital world to optimize the industrial value creation process. Dr. Hauptvogel further emphasized the importance of technologies to decarbonize sectors that today account for nearly three-quarters of global greenhouse gas emissions. The students were excited to see theory come to life and engaged enthusiastically in a lively and interesting discussion.
Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt and his team extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Annika Hauptvogel for her inspiring guest lecture. We look forward to welcoming you again soon, Annika!
