Overcoming current challenges in Supply Chain Management – An inspiring guest lecture held by Christian Trimborn (GRAMMER AG)
On November 30, Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt, Michael Mertel and Viktoria Horn had the honor to once again welcome Christian Trimborn, Vice President Global Category Management – Supplier Management at GRAMMER AG, as a guest speaker in our course “Beschaffungsmanagement” (Procurement Management).
As a well-known Bavarian automotive supplier, GRAMMER AG is a specialist in the development and production of components and systems for passenger car interiors. Mr. Trimborn has been with GRAMMER for over 20 years and is responsible for a procurement volume of several hundred million Euros worldwide. With his exciting insights about current challenges, or in other words “surprises”, like the container and resource shortages or political situations, Mr. Trimborn outlined the highly critical procurement market situation. He also provided a glimpse into the strategy of GRAMMER AG in order to address these challenges.
After Mr. Trimborn´s guest lecture, the students had the opportunity to ask him further questions, which was very well received. The entire Chair of Industrial Management would like to thank Mr. Trimborn and GRAMMER AG for this delighting guest lecture!
