For the ninth time, Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt and Prof. Dr. Ralf P. Thomas (CFO of Siemens AG) had the pleasure to welcome the new class of the Siemens EMBA „International Leadership and Finance“ at the Siemens’ Global Leadership Center in Feldafing. Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt, Dr. Lukas Maier and Lauren Mackintosh kicked off the first module “Innovation”. 24 hand-picked executives of Siemens AG, Siemens Healthineers, and Siemens Energy (coming from all over the world) worked on and discussed about contemporary aspects of Technology and Innovation Management and how this topic impacts Siemens’ businesses.

The first big highlight during the week was an inspiring guest lecture by Dr. Annika Hauptvogel (Head of Technology and Innovation Management at Siemens AG). Annika gave many fascinating insights into Siemens’ Innovation Strategy and discussed the Siemens core technologies with the executives of the course. Another highlight of the week was a visit to Next47, Siemens’ very own global venture firm in Munich. A big thank you to Gadi Gefen (CFO of Next47), Gert Wrigge and Svet Simeonov (part of the Next47 Finance Team), for giving us a brilliant overview of Next47 and for the fascinating insights into their upcoming projects!

The SIEMENS EMBA „International Leadership and Finance“, delevoped and designed in cooperation with the FAU and the Siemens AG, is primarily aimed at leading young professionals from several divisions, departments and regions, nominated by a member of the Finance-Leadership-Team under the patronage of Siemens CFO Prof. Dr. Ralf P. Thomas.

We wish all participants much success for their upcoming studies and look forward to seeing them finish their EMBA in March 2024.
