Successful presentations in our seminar with Prof. Dr. Heinrich v. Pierer
On July 4th, the Chair of Industrial Management welcomed once again Prof. Dr. Heinrich v. Pierer, former SIEMENS CEO and currently CEO at Pierer Consulting, and Dr. Ulrich Dörrie (member in residence of the Chair of Industrial Management), at FAU in Nürnberg.
This semester, our highly motivated students have the challenging task of analyzing the climate neutrality strategies of various companies. The first three groups already examined the strategies of Deutsche Bahn AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, and Siemens AG and all come to the conclusion: Reaching climate neutrality is complex and every company must develop its own strategy to meet the increasing expectations of stakeholders. In addition, our students have found evidence of greenwashing and discovered potential improvements with great economic and ecologic relevance for the future. In the first session, all three student groups did a great job in presenting their analysis and discussing this important topic with Prof. v. Pierer, Prof. Voigt, and the audience.
Prof. Voigt, Dr. Oscar Pakos, and Michael Mertel thank Prof. v. Pierer, Dr. Dörrie, and the student groups for the great collaboration. We are looking forward to the last two presentations of our seminar on the climate neutrality strategies of DATEV eG and Allianz SE on Monday, July 11!
