Already for the 10th time, the Chair of Industrial Management, represented by Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt, and DATEV eG, represented by Dr. Robert Mayr, were able to offer their collaborative seminar. Once again, twelve students were given the opportunity to work on a strategic issue and to deal with the topic of Smart Country and its potential for DATEV.

After the kick-off and the division of the groups at the beginning of the semester, the students worked in groups of four on different concepts. In addition to their own research work, the students had the opportunity to listen to three different and exciting presentations on the topics of eGovernment in Denmark (Robert Lentz | COO CBRain), digitalization in Greece (Gregory Apergis | Greek Ministry of Digital Governance), and eWallet in Brussels (Johannes Holtz | DATEV eG Brussels) and its implementation during an impulse session. In the subsequent workshop, the keynotes and topics were discussed so that the students could continue working on their concepts with new impulses.

Finally, the developed concepts could be presented in the presence of Prof. Voigt, Dr. Mayr and employees of DATEV on January 27, 2022. All groups showed exciting approaches in their presentation by first identifying gaps and processes in German authorities, examining case studies and finally developing solutions in which DATEV can participate.

Prof. Voigt, Dr. Oscar Pakos and Lars Friedrich would like to thank Dr. Mayr and his team for the fruitful collaboration and all students for the successful presentations and the great discussion afterwards. The chair is looking forward to working with the students and DATEV again in the summer semester of 2022.
