Combining Tradition with Digitalization: Inspiring Online Guest Lecture by Dr. Alexander Vyhnal, Head of R&D at STAEDTLER
On January 21st, Dr. Alexander Vyhnal, Head of Research & Development at STAEDTLER, accepted the invitation of Prof. Voigt to meet the students of the current class of the MVM Part-Time Master Program. In an online lecture, Dr. Vyhnal informed about the long tradition of STAEDTLER being one of the well-known producers of writing utensils worldwide. The students of the class vividly discussed with Alexander about possibilities to enhance writing utensils with digital technologies. Furthermore, Dr. Vyhnal shared many interesting details about the innovation management system at STAEDTLER, which professionally integrates innovative methods of idea generation and evaluation, new product development and technology development. The students, thankfully taking the opportunity to discuss with Alexander, enjoyed the two full hours of fascinating details and insights.
