Guest lecture by Christian Trimborn (GRAMMER AG) about Supply Chain Management in a chaotic global market environment
On November 10, Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt, Fabian Brechtel and Marc Rücker had the honor to welcome Christian Trimborn, Vice President Global Category Management – Supplier Management at GRAMMER AG, as a guest speaker in our course “Beschaffungsmanagement” (Procurement Management).
GRAMMER AG is a Bavarian automotive supplier with 15.000 employees and a specialist in the development and production of components and systems for passenger car interiors. Mr. Trimborn has been with GRAMMER for over 20 years and is responsible for a procurement volume of several hundred million euros worldwide. Therefore, Mr. Trimborn is the ideal guest speaker for our course and inspired our students with his many years of practical experience and exciting anecdotes from the field of procurement management in a globally operating company. Mr. Trimborn outlined the current chaotic procurement market situations (global electric components shortage, Suez Canal incident, COVID-19 pandemic, political unrest, etc.) and how GRAMMER solves these challenges.
