Sustainability is vital! Students discuss sustainability strategies of various industries with Prof. von Pierer
On June 28th 2021, the Chair of Industrial Management welcomed Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer, former SIEMENS CEO and currently CEO at Pierer Consulting, and Dr. Ulrich Dörrie (former employee of the Chair of Industrial Management), at FAU in Nürnberg. It’s already 32nd seminar with Prof. von Pierer.
These days, sustainability is a decisive competitive factor. Therefore, four student teams analyzed and highlighted sustainability strategies using the example of the automotive industry (BMW AG), the energy industry (Siemens Ennergy AG), the pharmaceutical industry (Bayer Monsanto AG), and the steel industry (Voestalpine AG). Together with the students and in the presence of Prof. von Pierer and Dr. Dörrie, the findings were discussed in the digital session.
Prof. Voigt and Oscar Pakos highly appreciate Prof. von Pierer’s engagement. We are already looking forward to welcoming him in the winter semester 2021 again!
