Following the stock market launch in 2018, Siemens Healthineers AG is now also relying on FAU and is thus continuing its long-standing and successful cooperation with the WiSo in Nuremberg. Since the winter term 2006/07, the School of Business, Economics and Society and the Chair of Industrial Management, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt, works closely with Siemens AG, offering a combination of academic studies and practical training. Not only the students benefit from the combined study program, but also companies see the dual study program as a good basis for attracting competent junior managers.

The Siemens Healthineers AG is now building on its very positive experience and will launch its new cooperation model “Siemens Healthineers Excellence Studies” in the winter term 2019/20. On Monday, 15 July  2019, Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm (Speaker of the School and Dean of the Faculty), Mr. Uwe Brög (Head of Human Resources, Siemens Healthineers AG) and Mr. Roland Gruber (Head of Controlling Central Functions, Siemens Healthineers AG) from Siemens Healthineers AG signed the cooperation agreement for the coordinated study and practice program “Siemens Healthineers Excellence Studies”. Also represented at the signing ceremony were Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt (Academic Director), Daliborka Witschel (Program Coordinator) and Christina Sauer (Head of Vocational Training, Siemens Healthineers AG).

The aim of this collaborative model is to enable students to gain parallel practical work experience at Siemens Healthineers and a Bachelor of Arts degree at the FAU within seven semesters  in the Bachelor Program Business Studies with a focus on Business Administration (and future-oriented with a focus on Information Systems). The new practice-oriented study program is one of seven collaborative models between the WiSo and practice partners from the Erlangen-Nuremberg Metropolitan Region and the second cooperation model specifically with the Siemens Group.
