Exciting guest lecture on “Industry 4.0” by Prof. Dr. Siegfried Russwurm (Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Voith)
This afternoon Prof. Voigt welcomed Prof. Russwurm, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Voith and former member of the Managing Board at Siemens AG, at our School of Business and Economics.
As part of a series of guest lectures in the context of our “Industrial Management” lecture, Prof. Russwurm gave us deep insights into the tasks of a member of the supervisory board. His presentation, entitled “Industry 4.0: Digital Transformation of the Product Lifecycle”, focused on the potentials of digitization for the creation of new business models and collaboration across value chains. On the other hand, he also showed the students the current challenges of digitalization, for example the implementation of 5G.
